Pharmacy

We have an in-house pharmacy at each branch. This allows us supply the treatments your pet might need urgently when they are ill. The vast majority of medications can be provided at the time of examination or the next working day from our daily wholesaler delivery.

The pharmacy and dispensing is highly regulated legally, so we ask that you order your repeat medications 24 hours in advance to allow us time to process them. All Veterinary Prescription Only Medicines (POM-V’s) need a Vet to authorise them. Your pet will need checked by a vet every 6 months as a minimum to allow us to continue to prescribe medication for them.

Why use an in-house Pharmacy?

• We provide the face of dispensing; we can guide you on correct treatment dosing and administration tips and we are somewhere to go back to for advice if you run into any issues.
• With our experience and knowledge, we provide added information and support not found on the data sheets.
• Each time you request a repeat prescription, you are dealing with member of staff. That short human contact can help to pick up an early indication that your pet’s health isn’t quite right, and we can often get them back on track before it’s too late.
• You are dealing with people you know and can trust, with an easily accessible address, and regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and in their Practice Standards Scheme.
